We are learning something new every day. Please look below to find out what our class is studying in the following areas:
Our Academics
Students are learning how to find the main idea in a story. We are also reviewing how to describe main characters in works of fiction. Students completed a Mystery Person Project in which they described a character from a story read in class. We will be focusing on how to make and confirm predictions in text based on title, topic sentences, and illustrations.
Literacy
Students completed a personal narrative in which they described a friend. Next, we will focus on expository writing.
Writing
Social Studies
Students are completing a Regional Travel Agent Project in which they will describe features of various regions of the United States. Students are also developing their understanding of map skills.
